First Steps

Right before bed tonight Abigail got a second wind and decided to try walking. She's barely taken a step with out our help, and now it's six in a row!!

Big Girl!

Abby had her 12 month check up earlier today. She's doing great apart from a little cold. Like her brother (and daddy) she has a very, very big head (over 100th percentile), and is tall with proportional weight (both between 90-95th percentile). We are so grateful that she is a healthy and happy little girl. She's grown so much over the past year!!

The Red Horse

For those of you who may not know, the Jacksons (grandparents, parents, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins) take an annual vacation to Wildwood Crest. They stay at a motel right along the bay, and have been going there many, many years (I want to say 30-35 but I'm not sure). Keith has fond memories of the Red Horse, and despite the fact that the accomodation are a little run down, we have a fantastic time. What a blessing to spend a whole week together as a family.

Abigail's first trip to the Red Horse. Last year she was only a few days old, so her and I stayed home. As you can see, she is very excited.
If you look close, you'll see that Abigail has a Red Horse tee shirt on . . . Isaac did too, but he was already straped in, ready to go. In fact he was straped in 1/2 hour before we even left. All week he was so eager to get going . . . he kept on asking "Can we go to the Red Horse now? Why not? PLEASE MOMMY!!!" It was a rough week, but finally we were ready to go.
So, so happy to be there.

Church on the beach . . . kinda

The first tradition of the annual Red Horse vacation is church on the beach (usually everyone arrives on a Sunday, thus missing their services at home). It was raining, so instead of church on the beach, we had church at the Red Horse. Keith led worship and Pop Pop spoke a few words.

We sang Great is Thy Faithfulness, Amazing Grace, and one other hymn I can't remember.

Keith praying at the end of worship. I couldn't take a picture of Pop Pop because Abigail was being noisy.

The Lineup

One Red Horse tradition is for all the cousins to "lineup" youngest to oldest, then Pop Pop Jackson hands everyone money to spend at the boardwalk. Mom-Mom and Pop Pop are so generous and include the spouses and great grandchildren in the line up as well.

Campbell and Jess were able to come down for two days, and we loved spending time with them. I don't know if these girls could be more different, but they are both so cute!

Waterpark

One morning Keith and I took Isaac to the waterpark, just us three. Though scared at first, Isaac soon learned that water slides were a great time (as did I, it was my first time at a water park). After he went down a slide Isaac would say "YES! I did it!" He was so cute. We even rode some of the bigger slides together! It was a great morning!

Baseball on the beach

Another Red Horse tradition - baseball on the beach. Fun was had by all . . . especially Isaac who LOVES baseball.

Isaac waiting for Daddy to get a hit, so that he can run the bases.
Isaac running the bases with Daddy.

Cousins. So cute.
Pop Pop played as well; Dylan ran the bases for him. What fun memories!

Abigail Jane is 1 year old!!

The day before Abigail's birthday, we had a little party for her with a few friends and family. We are so thankful that the Lord blessed our little family with Abby. She is a wonderful gift, and we enjoy her every day.

If you can't see it in the picture, the crown says "Birthday Princess."
We had a baby pool, and slip n'slide out back for all the kids. All the boys seemed to really enjoy the slip n'slide. Thanks Aunt Mia for bring it!!
